The Association's purpose is to: (i) establish the technological framework for deploying a decentralized Swaap voting protocol (the Protocol) and its associated user interface, enabling decentralized governance; (ii) make the Protocol and user interface, as well as the basic parameters for issuing a governance token called Swaap, available to the decentralized community (the Community); (iii) propose the decentralized governance rules of the Protocol to the Community, which will operate it; (iv) acquire, hold, license, and/or manage intellectual property rights protecting the interface, the Protocol, and/or other rights (the Rights); (v) file, acquire, hold, and sell patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights, as well as acquire, hold, and grant licenses on these patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights; (vi) propose to the Community the terms of access to the Rights for third parties; (vii) ensure the organization, governance, maintenance, security, and proper functioning of the Protocol and user interface based on decisions made by the Community; (viii) collect funds by any means to finance the achievement of this purpose; and (ix) promote the interests of its members in consultation procedures in Switzerland and abroad for the development of national and foreign laws concerning the regulation of blockchain technology and, in particular, decentralized projects. Under no circumstances will the Association have the purpose of controlling, monitoring, organizing, operating, managing, or administering the Protocol. This mission belongs exclusively to the Community, which makes its decisions in accordance with the Protocol's governance rules. The Association is non-profit, but may engage in commercial activities.
