The company, as a subsidiary of the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, pursues a public purpose by operating a platform for application-oriented research and development in industrial technology. In doing so, it fulfills the public task of securing Switzerland's leading role as an innovation location. The company's profits are used exclusively for this purpose, which is why the distribution of dividends from the balance sheet profit or from reserves formed for this purpose (Art. 675 OR) is excluded. The company's purpose is, in particular, to offer services to companies to promote innovations in high-tech areas, such as the battery, recycling, automotive, automation, AI, and mechanical engineering industries, to conduct applied research projects, to organize opportunities for open innovation and further education in these areas, and to offer consulting services on financing concepts. The company works closely with the location promotion of the canton of Solothurn to achieve this goal. It can enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable for promoting the company's purpose or are directly or indirectly related to it.
