The foundation aims to support humanitarian programs worldwide. The purpose of the foundation can be fulfilled, among other things, by targeted promotion of existing projects, development of new programs in various areas, as well as support for other humanitarian projects with a focus on food security, education, and sustainability. To this end, the foundation may: collaborate with various companies, partners, sponsors, banks, regulatory authorities, governments, and other third parties for the benefit of the Swiss Relief ecosystem; distribute the received contributions to the beneficiaries through our activities; have a budget for social media presence and advertising for events; have a budget for maintaining the website and the entire IT system, i.e. telephone and email system; have a budget for travel and accommodation costs when necessary for business purposes; approve all expenditures below CHF 1,000 by the President of the Executive Board, and all expenditures above CHF 1,000 by the President of the Foundation Board and another member of the Foundation Board; conclude rental, lease, or mortgage agreements or purchase properties or vehicles for the purposes of the foundation; support and finance appropriate research and development of activities and projects; cover operating costs or maintenance costs associated with the operation, such as, but not limited to, purchasing food for the operation; investing in sustainable farming methods; electricity or water costs; fuel and/or maintenance for vehicles; employ part-time, full-time, or contract staff, provide a technology package consisting of a laptop, phone, and mobile phone, as well as provide foundation clothing for all employees if necessary; set up a separate account to cover potential legal costs, accounting costs, or other administrative costs; organize conferences and other events that promote Swiss Relief; hold brand and IP rights as well as all other licenses; partially or fully finance events for donor care such as annual galas or cocktail fundraisers. The foundation serves exclusively and directly non-profit purposes. It does not pursue any profit-making intention and is not oriented towards profit.
