The Chamber primarily aims to promote trade and economic relations between Switzerland and the countries of the Asian region based on the principles of reciprocity. To achieve this purpose, the Chamber maintains contacts with Swiss and Asian authorities, economic associations, companies, and entrepreneurs from various industries. It can function as a mediator in case of difficulties. It provides information on all areas of Swiss-Asian economic relations and can provide expert opinions on trade and economic policy issues. It can publish a regularly appearing bulletin and other publications. For non-members, the Chamber may refuse to provide services. To the extent that it offers its services to non-members, this is done against payment of fees, whose rates are determined in a fee schedule approved by the Board. The Chamber does not engage in any commercial transactions. It does not involve itself in politics.
