The association aims to organize the SWISSCHAMBER MUSICCIRCLE in Andermatt, in order to enhance the cultural offerings of the emerging tourist region of Urserntal and the surrounding valleys of the Gotthard region. Andermatt is intended to become not only a hub for mountain sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, but also a significant, internationally renowned venue for high-end cultural events (akin to cultural gems, cf. logos). In particular, the association aims to host a professional festival featuring prize-winning concerts for chamber music ensembles (the respective winners having emerged from current international and national professional music competitions). The platform of the high-quality festival serves to promote young musical talents and facilitate the entry of young musicians into orchestral and/or concert life. The prize-winning concerts are complemented by established professional chamber music ensembles as a supporting program. The association is politically neutral.
