The Terreiro is a non-profit association, a spiritual learning community rooted in the Orixá tradition, which is the core focus of all association activities. The association promotes, enables and supports religious thought with Afro-Brazilian roots, based on Candomblé and Umbanda; can particularly carry out ritual events and consultations within the framework of its objectives, produce and distribute ritual materials, music media, writings, photographs, films and works of art; also organizes events such as training sessions, seminars, group or individual sessions; can form sections in the country and abroad, both in association form and as local groups or centers within the existing association; is politically independent and free from prejudices and discriminations of any kind, is socially committed and rigorously distances itself from sectarianism.
