The foundation aims to promote and support cultural, ecological and social endeavors. The main concerns in ecological terms are the preservation of natural landscapes and biological diversity, as well as the sustainable use of natural resources through corresponding projects, research, education and information; cultural and artistic diversity; the safeguarding of human rights and the promotion of peaceful coexistence and solidarity among people. To achieve these purposes, the foundation can provide contributions to projects that serve the three foundation purposes mentioned above, to individuals as well as to institutions with corresponding objectives. Excluded are grants to organizations that are related in terms of content, organization or personnel to a religious or other faith community. The foundation can also take all other measures that may be directly or indirectly beneficial to the implementation of the foundation's purpose. The area of activity extends to the whole of Switzerland, and if necessary, also abroad.
