This is a partially public-benefit foundation. On the one hand, the foundation pursues a public-benefit purpose by aiming to finance the university undergraduate studies (bachelor's degree or similar) of children from underprivileged Thai families living in rural areas outside of Bangkok (Thailand). On the other hand, the foundation pursues a restrictive purpose by aiming to finance the university undergraduate studies (bachelor's degree or similar) of relatives of Mr. Thanat Thiramon (born January 19, 1942; deceased March 2, 2022). The foundation may provide financial support contributions to public or private institutions or individuals for this purpose. The foundation has a partially public-benefit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose. The foundation is authorized to establish further foundations in Switzerland or abroad with a similar purpose within the scope of its purpose and to pursue joint projects with Swiss or foreign institutions with similar purposes. It is also authorized to establish other legal entities in Switzerland or abroad and to acquire and hold participations in other domestic and foreign legal entities, provided that this serves the fulfillment of its purpose as stated in paragraphs 1-3 above. The founder reserves the right to change the organization and purpose in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code, provided that the predominant purpose of the foundation remains public-benefit.
