The association aims to promote science in the field of economics, particularly financial economics, in Africa. With reference to Western societies (countries of the European Union and North America), the association examines the most important economic, social, historical and anthropological factors responsible for economic prosperity in African countries. The association strives to strengthen Africa's growing international research cooperation, particularly in economics, and thus increase Africa's research productivity. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit. The association's funds may only be used for non-profit purposes in accordance with the statutes. The association may not favor any person through expenses that are foreign to the purpose of the association or through disproportionately high remuneration.
