The Foundation aims to achieve the following objectives in the Arab world: 1. Promote democratic culture, dialogue, and the principle of equality among citizens, especially between men and women. 2. Defend human rights, particularly individual and collective fundamental freedoms. 3. Combat all forms of violence and discrimination. 4. Support democratic transition processes and establish strategic reflections and studies on economic, social, and climate issues. 5. Ensure that every person accused has the right to be heard before an independent and impartial tribunal established by law. Demonstrate leadership and courage in defending, promoting, and applying human rights recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To this end, the Foundation may defend the interests of citizens who are victims of fundamental rights violations before national and/or international authorities. The Foundation may take action in areas such as democracy protection, human rights, and social, media, and academic development related to promoting citizen culture. It may collaborate with other similar organizations and institutions worldwide that pursue similar goals and execute mandates that may be entrusted to it, provided they are non-profit. Within the framework of its non-profit objectives, the Foundation operates in Switzerland and abroad and does not aim to make a profit.
