The association aims to critically examine and create hybrid cultural forms at the interfaces of art, nature, technology, and society. It acts as a non-profit platform for research, production, presentation, and mediation. Pioneering development and implementation of ethical frameworks for the documentation and representation of cultural heritage: This includes prioritizing the socio-historical context of cultural assets over their purely aesthetic or physical properties, as well as actively empowering source communities by ensuring their agency, narrative control, and equal partnership in all relevant projects. To achieve its purpose, the association in particular carries out the following activities: a) Research and Development: Initiation and implementation of transdisciplinary research projects. b) Production and Curating: Realization of curated exhibitions, installations, and digital works. c) Discourse and Publication: Organization of conferences, symposia, and workshops, as well as the publication of publications. d) Education and Mediation: Development of educational formats for a broad audience. e) Residency Program: Operation of an international residency program. f) Cooperation and Networking: Promotion of a global ecosystem of artists, cultural creators, and partner institutions through collaborative projects, knowledge exchange, and the development of shared digital and physical infrastructures. g) Services: Enabling institutional mediation, consulting, and curatorial services. h) Focused Research: A focus on endangered cultural expressions, restitution, and decolonized digitization. i) Targeted Promotion: The promotion of contemporary artistic expressions, alternative designs, and material culture from the global South, including Asia, South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. The association is authorized to maintain a collection of works and documents and to take the necessary measures for their preservation, storage, and archiving. The association may engage in any other activities that are directly or indirectly related to its purpose, provided they are in accordance with its non-profit status. The association is not profit-oriented and exclusively and irrevocably pursues non-profit purposes.
