Bringing together people worldwide who have an interest in computer-assisted orthopedic surgery through their contributions and activities in the fields of research, clinical studies, and clinical application; serving as a forum for the exchange of research and clinical information related to preoperative planning, simulation, intraoperative execution, and postoperative evaluation of procedures in orthopedic surgery using computer-assisted methods; promoting a new partnership between orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic technologists as a necessary basis for the successful integration of computer-assisted surgical instruments and techniques into daily clinical practice.
