The foundation shall award a prize worldwide, based on the recommendation of the advisory committees (Foundation Board/Advisory Committee), to individuals, private and public institutions, companies and governments that have made outstanding contributions in the field of promoting sustainable energy, in particular through the reduction of pollutants to reduce global warming and/or the invention of alternative energy sources, taking into account the greatest practical benefit.
