The UEFA aims to: deal with all matters relating to European football; promote football in Europe in a spirit of peace, understanding and fair play, without any discrimination on the basis of politics, sex, religion, race or any other reason; monitor and control the development of football in Europe in all its forms; prepare and organize international competitions and tournaments in all forms of football at European level, with respect for the health of players; prevent methods or practices from endangering the regularity of matches or competitions or leading to abuses in football; promote and protect ethical standards and good governance in European football; ensure that sporting values always take precedence over commercial interests; redistribute football revenue in accordance with the principle of solidarity and support reinvestment in all levels and sectors of football, particularly grassroots football; promote unity among its members on matters relating to European and world football; safeguard the collective interests of its member associations; ensure that the interests of the various stakeholders in European football (leagues, clubs, players, supporters) are taken into account in an appropriate manner; act as the representative voice of the European football family as a whole; maintain good relations and cooperate with FIFA and other FIFA-recognized confederations; ensure that its representatives within FIFA act in a loyal and solidarity-based European spirit; reconcile the interests of its member associations, arbitrate disputes arising between them and assist them in specific matters when requested.
