The USB aims to safeguard and promote the local interests and aspirations of organized workers. It also provides, within its scope, for the implementation of the USS work program and the realization of its postulates: a) collaborating with all trade union organizations on general and common issues, particularly in trade union actions and movements in general; b) cooperating in the implementation of USB and Cartel of Swiss Italian Trade Unions decisions and carrying out tasks assigned to it, such as investigations, statistics, and similar work; c) intervening in all local social issues, supporting sectional initiatives in favor of members; d) promoting general and trade union culture among workers in the Bellinzona region, organizing events or conferences related to the trade union world; e) managing the USB's real estate property. The USB may conclude agreements for the execution of specific tasks with other political, economic, professional, or cultural organizations, provided they recognize democratic principles.
