The association aims to support the global transition to a sustainable and fossil-free bioeconomy through biomanufacturing and synthetic biology as a non-profit organization, by financing research, start-ups, and the development of infrastructure within the broader ecosystem. The association can take all necessary and appropriate measures to achieve the aforementioned purpose, including financing, planning, and implementing initiatives or even participating in initiatives of other organizations or providing financial or other support to other organizations or individuals, as long as these activities serve the purpose of the association. The association can also accept donations from third parties and act as a trustee for other institutions to pursue their purpose. The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. The association can acquire, encumber, sell, and manage properties both domestically and abroad.
