The purpose of the non-profit association is to promote culture and cultural exchange between Switzerland and other countries as a contribution to international understanding, particularly in the areas of: short film, film, film culture, new media, cinema, and audiovisual creation. It fulfills these tasks by procuring, curating, and promoting in Switzerland and abroad. In particular, the association's task is to conceive and realize the shnit short film festival as a cross-border cultural event in discourse and cooperation with cultural institutions and/or film-related institutions or companies at home and abroad. The association can also promote or provide other activities that are in the general interest of the association's purpose. Furthermore, the association can contribute to the promotion of all possible cultural concerns, produce, finance, and distribute audiovisual products. Within the framework of these purposes, the association can cooperate with third parties and participate in other organizations, programs, or events with related objectives. The association manages and operates the association's assets and can carry out legal transactions of all kinds to achieve the association's purpose, as well as manage patent rights, license rights, and trademark rights. In addition, it can acquire and dispose of properties and real estate and enter into all transactions that are suitable for promoting the association's purpose. For these purposes, the association takes the necessary organizational and personnel measures for orderly operations. The association is non-profit and not profit-oriented.
