The Shayda Centre is an association founded by students of Iranian music in Zurich to promote classical Iranian music and culture. Those who have signed the manifesto are part of the founding council of this association and are officially counted among the regular members of the Shayda Centre. The Shayda Centre undertakes to contact other art and cultural associations and to actively participate in the exchange of cultural activities. Furthermore, it will use the suggestions of its members for further development and promote them in cultural and musical education. In addition, it has the task of preventing members, friends and the Iranian community from moving away from classical Iranian music and culture. The Shayda Centre will also endeavour to introduce non-Iranians to ancient and contemporary Iranian art and culture and to win them over as members of the Shayda Centre. The Shayda Centre will have a teaching body that will teach classical Iranian music and literature. This body will be led by an expert who will select the members of the teaching committee from the regular members of the Shayda Centre. The chairman of the teaching committee can be either a regular member or, under certain circumstances, be nominated from the ranks of professional musicians with the approval of the regular members. The teaching body of the Shayda Centre works independently under the supervision of the board of directors. The manner of cooperation between the teaching body and the board of directors will be differentiated separately later in the tasks of the board of directors. The Shayda Centre will also participate in music production from time to time to promote the knowledge of its members and friends. These productions can include concerts, MCs, CDs, videos, DVDs, articles, magazines, books, teaching concerts by members and professional concerts. The Shayda Centre is therefore allowed to promote the knowledge of its friends and members with all means. The Shayda Centre will establish an examination board, both internally and externally, to maintain the quality of classical music, which will consist of students from the teaching body of the Shayda Centre. The conditions for the election of the examination board will be explained in detail later. The aim of this centre is to bring its members and friends closer to the official classical music of Iran. Furthermore, the aim is to motivate its members to learn classical Iranian music, culture and literature and to present this culture to people, especially in Zurich.
