The association advocates for the defense of the interests of people affected by psychiatry in Switzerland, for their physical and mental integrity and the respect of their other human rights, represents its members, advises and accompanies them. It carries out all activities that serve this purpose. Specifically, it informs the public about prevailing practices, influences politics, monitors the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, demands rehabilitation and compensation for all those who have been forcibly treated in psychiatric institutions and those who have been harmed by psychiatry, and provides its members with lawyers.
