The association is non-profit and focuses on the following purposes: Providing high-quality, quantitatively adequate, and financially sustainable continuing education and training in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, and organizing corresponding events. Within the framework of an institute managed in a commercial manner, called "Institute for Psychotherapy in Childhood and Adolescence", it offers continuing education for assistant doctors aiming for the specialist title in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, as well as continuing education for psychologists aiming for a federally recognized continuing education title in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry according to the Psychology Professions Act. It can conduct or support research projects in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. It maintains cooperation with the child and adolescent psychiatric continuing education institutions recognized by the Swiss Institute for Medical Continuing Education (SIWF) or with the continuing education institutions recognized for the acquisition of the federal continuing education title according to the Psychology Professions Act for psychologists.
