The association aims to protect and promote the common professional interests of manufacturers of cartons for foodstuffs, namely beverage cartons, as well as cartons for the packaging of foodstuffs (hereinafter beverage cartons). This is achieved, in particular, by ensuring high-quality material recycling in accordance with the current state of the art and in the public interest of protecting the environment and the self-responsibility of the private sector. The above-mentioned purpose shall be achieved, in particular, by: managing and using the financial resources of the association appropriately; recording the material flows (market quantity, collection rate, recycling rate); representing interests to collection systems with the aim of ensuring the provision of the necessary collection facilities; taking appropriate measures to ensure high-quality utilization (including monitoring) with a focus on achieving the highest possible collection rate; advocating for a recycling logo to identify recyclable beverage cartons; informing the public about the advantages of beverage cartons and their recycling, also from environmental, socio-economic and technical perspectives; representing interests to industries, organizations, politics and other stakeholders to support beverage carton recycling. The association may participate in other legal entities, in particular in collection systems. It is not geared towards generating profits and does not pursue economic purposes with the aim of improving the economic market position of its members, except within the framework described above. Any potential profit shall be used in its entirety for the purposes of the association as defined in Article 1.3.
