The contracting parties to the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) for the mechanical, electrical and metal industries establish the association for the purpose of managing the solidarity contributions in accordance with the applicable CLA. The association aims to implement the CLA and organize the cooperation of the contracting parties to the CLA. To this end, the association finances, in particular: refunds to members of the employee contracting parties; contributions to members of the employee contracting parties to partially relieve them of their membership fees; contributions to members of the employee contracting parties for their costs in implementing the CLA; contributions to the employee contracting parties for their costs in setting up new joint projects or structures (e.g. MEM-Passerelle 4.0); contributions to the joint training of the contracting parties for employee representatives in the companies; publication of the CLA; and information materials for apprentices on the CLA. The association may finance additional activities that serve the purpose and participate in the fulfillment and financing of further tasks for the benefit of the employees subject to the CLA. Furthermore, the association finances the monitoring and control of the fulfillment of tasks by the employee contracting parties, in particular the refunds and contributions to members of the employee contracting parties.
