Promotion of the ideal and material interests of its members, in particular by strengthening the industrial property rights of its members, combating product piracy, creating and improving adequate legal protection against unauthorized adoption of foreign economic and creative achievements, promoting national and international legal and association relationships, informing and advising its members on the aforementioned matters. The ideal aspects take precedence over material benefits. The association is politically and denominationally independent. The association performs its work and pursues its purpose in close mutual cooperation with the Association for the Prevention of Product Piracy, Munich, and the associated organizations.
