The cooperative aims to facilitate and enable science communication and other relevant information communication for its members through joint self-help in a politically and denominationally neutral manner, using books, magazines, seminars, webinars, internet-based conferences, and conferences with personal participation. These services and infrastructure are primarily available to members and those to whom the cooperative offers them. The results of the communication are made available to the public. The cooperative is active in the German-speaking countries (Switzerland, Germany, and Austria). The cooperative may establish branches in Switzerland and abroad, participate in other domestic and foreign companies, acquire, establish, or merge with similar or related companies in Switzerland and abroad, acquire, manage, and transfer patents, licenses, and representations in Switzerland and abroad, acquire, manage, or resell properties and real estate, and enter into all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the cooperative or are directly or indirectly related to it.
