The company aims to trade in electricity and electricity derivative contracts in electricity markets, both on the exchange and over-the-counter (OTC). The company may engage in all commercial, financial, and other activities that appear suitable to promote the company's purpose or are related to it. Transactions requiring authorization under the Financial Market Infrastructure Act (FMIA) are excluded. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries and acquire and dispose of businesses both domestically and abroad. The company may acquire, hold, and dispose of real estate. The company is part of a group and may consider the interests of the group in pursuing its corporate purpose. In particular, the company may grant loans and other direct or indirect financing to its direct and indirect subsidiaries and to third parties, including its direct and indirect shareholders and their direct and indirect subsidiaries, and provide security for the obligations of these parties in any form, including by pledging or fiduciary transfer of the company's assets or guarantees of any kind, whether paid or unpaid.
