The purpose of the cooperative is to provide water supply in its catchment area, as defined by the perimeter plan for the municipality of Brienz, including the maintenance of main and distribution lines with their associated facilities, the procurement, treatment, pumping and storage of water. In doing so, it takes into account the development plan of the municipality and works with the competent municipal authorities. It supplies this area with drinking and utility water within the available quantity and ensures a constant quality in accordance with federal food legislation.
