The Chamber primarily aims to promote trade and economic relations between Switzerland and the countries of the Asian region based on the principles of reciprocity. To achieve this purpose, the Chamber maintains contacts with Swiss and Asian authorities, economic associations, companies and entrepreneurs from various industries. It can function as a mediation center in case of difficulties. It provides information on all areas of Swiss-Asian economic relations and can provide expert opinions on trade and economic policy issues. It can publish a regularly appearing bulletin and other publications. The Chamber may refuse to provide services to non-members. To the extent that it offers its services to non-members, this is done against payment of fees, the rates of which are determined in a fee schedule approved by the Board or, if necessary, on a case-by-case basis. The Chamber does not engage in commercial transactions and does not involve itself in politics.
