The purpose of the foundation is to provide for the employees of ABB Schweiz AG at the Zuzwil site and their dependents against the economic consequences of old age, disability, death, and hardship such as illness, accident, or unemployment. By decision of the foundation board, in agreement with ABB Schweiz AG, the personnel of companies economically closely linked to ABB Schweiz AG may also be affiliated, provided that these companies make the necessary funds available to the foundation. The affiliation is made on the basis of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The purpose of the foundation can be fulfilled by providing voluntary additional benefits to the regulatory pension benefits in the event of old age, disability, and death, and by providing voluntary purchase benefits for the regulatory pension of employees. Furthermore, the foundation aims to support employees and their dependents in cases of hardship such as illness, accident, disability, and unemployment. The foundation may also provide benefits to other tax-exempt employee benefit institutions that exist for the benefit of the beneficiaries in order to finance contributions and insurance premiums.
