The cooperative pursues the purpose of providing its members with good and affordable housing in common self-help and co-responsibility, excluding any speculative intent. It strives to offer spaces for all population groups. It promotes coexistence in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. The cooperative can offer spaces for commercial services in its buildings. It seeks to achieve this purpose through: a) Acquisition of building land and building rights; b) Construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family houses that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; c) careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings; d) Construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; e) Use of funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; f) Management and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis; g) Creation of apartments and single-family homes for sale in condominium ownership or building rights; h) Promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements; i) Ideological and material support for efforts aimed at affordable and good housing; j) It can reserve pre-emption, purchase and co-determination rights. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with participations and identical or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
