The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It rents out its apartments according to the following priorities: a) primarily to active employees of the federal administration, SBB, Post, Swisscom, and the military; b) then to active employees of organizations affiliated with the PUBLICA pension fund; c) then to retired employees according to letters a and b; d) finally to other applicants. The cooperative seeks to achieve this goal through a) careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings. b) Utilization of funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws. c) Management and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis. d) Promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements. e) Ideological and material support for efforts aimed at affordable, healthy, and good housing. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not profit-driven.
