The purpose of the building cooperative is to acquire, hold, manage, sell or exchange plots of land, construct and rent residential and other buildings at affordable rents for residents and employees in the Saanenland region, as well as to carry out all business related to this cooperative purpose. The cooperative may participate in or acquire institutions with similar purposes. The cooperative meets the requirements for non-profit status and follows the principles of the Charter of Non-Profit Housing Providers and the Swiss Housing Promotion Legislation in its activities. Any speculative profit is excluded. To enforce this provision, the cooperative may take all suitable measures, such as granting pre-emption or purchase rights to the municipality of Saanen, among others.
