The cooperative aims to create affordable, collectively usable and, as far as possible, ecological living space for its members and other individuals through joint self-help efforts. The shared living space and infrastructure are used for social engagement to the extent possible. The cooperative strives to offer living space to all segments of the population. It promotes coexistence in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by the pursuit of gain. In the spirit of a desirable mix of living and working, the cooperative may, where opportunities arise and there is a need on the part of its members, also provide spaces for commercial and service activities. However, residential space generally takes precedence over commercial space.
