The cooperative aims to promote, create and procure affordable housing in rental and ownership relationships on a non-profit basis, in accordance with the Federal Housing Promotion Act (WFG). The cooperative's activities are not profit-driven. In particular, the cooperative aims to promote forms of housing that optimally meet the interests of the residents, specifically in terms of legal status, co-determination, mixed use, architecture and comfort. It takes into account, where possible, in the sense of integrated housing, individuals, families and groups with special difficulties on the housing market. Ecological aspects are appropriately taken into account in site selection, construction and maintenance. The cooperative builds, rents and sells affordable housing and houses primarily to its members. To this end, it can acquire, encumber and sell land. When selling real estate and houses, the cooperative ensures that buyers cannot engage in speculative transactions. To this end, the cooperative can reserve pre-emption, purchase and co-determination rights. The houses and apartments owned by the cooperative are to be permanently withdrawn from speculation and used for affordable housing. Where possible, self-managed and communal forms of housing are to be realized. The cooperative maintains its buildings in good structural condition and renovates them periodically. The living space and the number of residents should be in a reasonable proportion to each other. The cooperative limits its activities to the Ersigen area and adjacent regions. The cooperative can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit housing cooperatives.
