The cooperative aims to provide affordable housing and build or acquire residential buildings or apartments for its members, excluding any speculative intent and in mutual self-help. In particular, it pursues the purpose of promoting affordable housing construction in the sense of the federal Housing and Property Promotion Act (WEG) as well as corresponding cantonal and communal regulations. The cooperative creates, rents or sells affordable housing primarily to its members. To this end, it can acquire or sell plots of land and/or real estate companies that are suitable for promoting the purpose of the cooperative or are directly or indirectly related to it. The cooperative maintains its buildings in good structural condition and renovates them periodically. The cooperative can acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives. It can make contributions from the annual result to such organizations or to non-profit organizations in the municipality of Ostermundigen in general, with or without earmarking. The cooperative strives to expand its housing stock through construction activities and the acquisition of land.
