The cooperative aims to provide its members with affordable housing and commercial space through the acquisition of properties and land, the development of land, building rights, or long-term rentals, in a non-profit and self-help manner. This housing and commercial space is to be permanently withdrawn from speculation in order to realize self-managed, secure, communal, and family-friendly forms of housing and work. The cooperative particularly pursues the purpose of promoting housing construction in the sense of the federal Housing Promotion and Home Ownership Act (WEG) as well as corresponding cantonal and communal regulations. The cooperative's field of activity extends to Altishofen and its surrounding area. It takes and supports measures to maintain or improve housing quality, creates and operates leisure facilities and garden plots, as well as old-age care facilities in the neighborhood, or supports and operates such facilities itself (neighborhood meeting point, community facility, etc.). It also engages in participations.
