It seeks to achieve this purpose through: a) the acquisition of building land and building rights; b) the construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs; c) careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings; d) the construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; e) the use of funding instruments under the Federal Housing Promotion Act or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; f) the administration and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis; g) the creation of apartments and single-family homes for sale in condominium ownership or building rights; h) the promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements; i) ideal and material support for efforts aimed at affordable and good housing.
