The cooperative pursues the purpose of affordable housing construction through joint self-help and on a non-profit basis, excluding any speculation in the sense of the Federal Act on the Promotion of Affordable Housing. The cooperative builds and manages apartments and commercial spaces, which it primarily rents to its members. For this purpose, it can acquire, encumber and sell properties. The cooperative maintains its buildings in good structural condition and renovates them periodically. The living space and the number of users should be in a reasonable proportion to each other. The cooperative can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
