The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and co-responsibility, particularly for families. It promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. It seeks to achieve this purpose through a) the acquisition of building land and building rights, b) the construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family homes that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs, c) careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings, d) the construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner, e) the management and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis, f) the promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements, and g) the ideal and material support of efforts aimed at affordable, healthy and good housing. The cooperative is politically and denominationally neutral. Its activities are non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar goals. It is a member of the Swiss Association for Housing SVW.
