The cooperative aims to create ecological and affordable housing for its members and, if possible, other individuals. If the opportunity arises and there is a need on the part of the cooperative's members, the cooperative can also provide spaces for commercial and service activities, with the aim of achieving a desirable mix of living and working spaces. The extent of these spaces must be in a reasonable proportion to the living space. The cooperative seeks to achieve its purpose through: the construction and acquisition of property and usage rights or the rental of properties or residential units; the rental of residential and commercial space to its members, and possibly to other natural and legal persons; and the general provision of residential and commercial space with a view to promoting communal living and lifestyle forms. In this context, residential space takes precedence over commercial space, and under-occupancy of residential space should be avoided.
