The cooperative aims to create affordable, collectively usable and, where possible, ecological housing for its members and other individuals through mutual self-help. The shared living space and infrastructure are used for social engagement to the extent possible. The cooperative strives to offer housing to all segments of the population. It promotes coexistence in the sense of overall societal responsibility and mutual solidarity. In the spirit of a desirable mix of living and working, the cooperative can, where opportunities arise and there is a need on the part of its members, also provide spaces for commercial and service activities. However, residential space takes precedence over commercial space in principle. The cooperative aims to avoid underutilization of its housing. The cooperative achieves its purpose through: the construction, acquisition, and maintenance of property and usage rights or the rental of properties or housing units; the rental of residential and commercial space to its members and, where applicable, to other natural or legal persons; the provision of residential and commercial space with a view to promoting communal living and lifestyle forms; the ideal and material support of other endeavors that aim to provide affordable and good housing; the cooperative can participate in companies with similar or identical objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives; the administration and rental of apartments on the basis of cost-based rent.
