The cooperative aims to provide its members with a permanent supply of housing at affordable financial conditions through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It strives to offer affordable housing to people of Tamil background aged 60 and above, as well as to others who support Tamil culture, particularly to its members, families, people with disabilities, and the elderly. Through social mixing and community facilities, it promotes coexistence in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. The focus is on the life of Tamil culture. Additionally, it promotes the connection between living, working, and culture. It intends to achieve sustainable development by aligning with the goals of the 2000-watt society. This also applies to commercial spaces. The cooperative aims to achieve this purpose through: a) Acquisition and sale of land (including building land) and building rights, as well as the establishment and cancellation of easements. b) Construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs. c) Careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings. d) Utilization of funding instruments according to the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws. e) Rental of apartments based on cost rent. f) Creation of apartments and single-family homes for sale in condominium ownership or building rights. g) Promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements. h) Ideological and material support for efforts aimed at affordable, healthy, and good housing. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with similar or identical goals. It is a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives Association, Association of Non-Profit Housing Developers.
