The cooperative aims to provide its members with a permanent supply of housing at affordable financial conditions through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It offers housing primarily to its members and their relatives, and secondarily to other population groups, particularly families, people with disabilities, and the elderly. The cooperative promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. Additionally, the cooperative offers its members commercial spaces when needed. To achieve this purpose, the cooperative: acquires the Oberbühl 11 property in Huttwil; renovates and expands the property for multi-generational households; maintains and periodically renovates existing buildings; utilizes funding instruments according to federal, cantonal, and communal housing promotion laws; rents apartments at cost-based prices; promotes cooperative activities; and provides ideological and material support to initiatives that aim for affordable, healthy, independent, and sustainable living in harmony with nature. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by profit. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with similar or identical goals. It is a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives Association and the Association of Non-Profit Housing Developers.
