The cooperative aims to provide its members with affordable housing, also tailored to the needs of older people, through joint self-help. To this end, it creates affordable apartments and rents them to its members. For this purpose, it can acquire land, properties, and building rights and remove them from speculation on a permanent basis. The cooperative can encumber, pledge, and exceptionally sell these assets. The cooperative manages and rents out its apartments on a cost-rent basis, ensuring long-term value preservation. It can also operate infrastructure businesses in its properties or provide third parties with space to operate such businesses. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not profit-driven. The cooperative can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
