The cooperative aims to provide and maintain healthy and affordable housing for its members through joint self-help and mutual responsibility. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by the pursuit of profit. To achieve this goal, the cooperative: acquires building land and building rights; builds and acquires single-family and multi-family homes that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; maintains and periodically renovates existing buildings; constructs replacement buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in a economically justifiable manner; utilizes financing from the SBB in accordance with the guidelines for cooperative housing construction and the promotional instruments of the federal housing promotion law, as well as corresponding cantonal and communal laws; manages and rents out apartments on a cost-rent basis; adjusts rents based on social considerations; and provides ideological and material support for initiatives that aim to provide affordable, healthy, and good housing.
