The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and shared responsibility. It promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. It seeks to achieve this purpose by: acquiring land and building rights; building and acquiring single-family and multi-family homes that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; carefully maintaining and periodically renovating existing buildings; constructing replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; managing and renting apartments; promoting cooperative activities in the settlements. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by profit. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar goals. On the apartments subsidized by the federal government, there is a prohibition on misuse and a restriction on disposal in accordance with Article 60, paragraph 2 WFV, which is noted as a public-law restriction on ownership in the land register.
