The cooperative aims to provide its members with permanent, good and affordable housing and to maintain it through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. The cooperative acts in a socially, ecologically and economically sustainable manner. It seeks to achieve this purpose by acquiring building land and building rights; building and acquiring housing and buildings with mixed use that meet the modern cooperative housing needs; careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renewal of existing buildings; construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; claiming funding instruments under the Federal Housing Promotion Act or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; managing and renting housing on the basis of cost rent; promoting cooperative activities, structures of self-determination and self-management in the community; ideal and material support for efforts aimed at affordable and good housing. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar objectives. It can be a member of wohnbaugenossenschaften schweiz - association of non-profit housing developers.
