To provide its members, through mutual aid and co-responsibility, with a permanent space to live and work together in a self-determined and sustainable manner, under financially acceptable conditions. The cooperative's activities are of collective utility and non-profit. The cooperative aims to promote living and solidarity house communities, a high degree of personal responsibility and self-determination of housing communities, low energy consumption, low environmental impact during construction and operation, a healthy living environment, no real estate speculation on cooperative-owned properties, favorable rents, many years of life in the property, high usage density, and good coexistence with the neighborhood. To achieve this goal, the cooperative acquires building land and superficies, acquires and transforms buildings suitable for collective housing forms, carefully and continuously maintains the buildings, renovates them periodically if conditions require, uses subsidies in accordance with the federal law on housing assistance and corresponding cantonal and communal laws, rents out apartments and commercial spaces at cost price, and actively cooperates with housing communities. The cooperative may participate in enterprises and organizations with identical or similar objectives.
