The association aims to: maintain, strengthen, develop and improve public awareness that castles constitute a precious cultural heritage and legacy; promote castle tourism worldwide; promote the interests of the association's members; provide advice to members and support them in organizing promotional events; offer a forum for castle owners and managers, individuals and organizations wishing to discuss and find solutions on common areas of interest; provide advice on suitable methods for the conservation and restoration of castles, supported by a database of expertise; promote at all levels of the education system, research on castles, the circumstances that led to their creation and the characters and events associated with them; have as many members as possible, including castle owners and managers, restorers, architects, craftsmen, universities and students, writers, historians, and other interested parties; ensure liaison with other organizations, including local authorities, other international associations and other conservation organizations, in pursuit of the aforementioned objectives; organize national and international meetings, training sessions, conferences or workshops within the framework of the above objectives.
