Worldwide Nitrocellulose Producers Association (WONIPA)

The purpose of the association, which is non-profit, shall include the following: (i) promoting the nitrocellulose industry in the broadest sense, (ii) promoting responsible behavior, particularly with regard to product stewardship, in order to minimize product-related risks to health, safety, and the environment. The association shall serve as a forum for debating questions, problems, facts, and topics that arise before, during, or after the manufacture, storage, transportation, use, and disposal of industrial nitrocellulose, as well as all other matters of interest to the association. To achieve the aforementioned purposes, the association may issue guidelines and monitor their compliance. The association may also join international organizations or institutions or conclude contracts with them within the scope of the aforementioned purposes.
