The purpose of the foundation is to promote measures and projects that contribute to sustainably reducing the impact of human activities on the climate, with the aim of neutralizing them. The foundation pursues its purpose in particular through: financing and promoting climate protection projects, energy-efficient measures and renewable energy sources; financing and promoting structures and technologies aimed at climate-neutral economic activity; financing and promoting scientific activities for the research and development of sustainable climate protection measures, climate-neutral energies, and other measures to achieve climate neutrality and climate-neutral economic activity. The foundation operates both domestically and internationally. Activities abroad must have a positive impact on Switzerland or be perceived as worthy of promotion in Switzerland. The foundation's activities are non-profit, do not aim to make a profit, do not pursue commercial purposes, and are not focused on self-help. It may operate a commercially managed business to pursue the foundation's purpose.
